17th of October is the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.  People across the globe are living in poverty and experience many barriers to a safe and healthy life.  Their social condition keeps them from realizing their rights and rising above poverty.

The 2019 theme for this day of awareness is Acting Together to Empower Children, Their Families, and Communities to End Poverty.
